Working Group Chair:

The Skills Working Group is chaired by Adam Broomfield, Kendra Energy

The Skills Working Group is a central resource for the ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ on all skills development issues.  Powered by volunteers, the Skills Working Group is a forum for developing a balanced ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ view on key skills development issues; they are a group for drafting ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ skills development guidance; they provide ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ input to skills development documents from other organisations, national education initiatives or ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ sections; and they are charged with promoting skills development amongst ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ Members at all levels (vocational, academic and continuing professional development).

Open to representatives in ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ member companies only.

Corporate plan responsibilities

The Skills Working Group support:

  • Positioning and promoting the BMS industry as a career of choice,

  • Sharing best practice and enabling collaboration

2026 Priorities

  • Developing and delivering BEMS-focused training/information about the Building safety Act a Industry Competency Framework

  • Develop and deliver an education programme for consultants

  • Exploring higher level qualifications for the BEMS industry
